Lis's sketch: Cheshire Cat and Alice

My original idea was to do Alice looking up at the caterpillar, but it was too stagnant. So my new idea has more of the dramatic perspective that the project should have. Wee! Anyway... it's the scene where Alice is looking up and talking to the Cheshire cat in the tree.

Just a rough sketch so a lot of stuff has to be worked out - the cat's face and direction of gaze, alice's face, etc. I'm pretty excited to work on it though.

  1. Sweeet! Lis, I have not doubt that you are going to make this awesome. Your composition looks good, and Alice (on the left) is great! One thing I'd say is to really work on the character of the Cheshire Cat. He's such a weird and wiley creature, and you really want that to come across in the image. The sketch of the cat on the right is a bit closer to what I'm talking about. So many people have painted Alice before us, the trick will be to really make it yours, which I know you can do :)
