Well I've been a bit crazed this past week finishing up these two images and getting everything ready for San Diego Comicon this weekend. But they're done now! I had a lot of fun painting my Mother Nature piece, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Let me know what you guys think!
And here's my final "Berserker Lord" painting from the Illustration Master Class!

I really love the palette of you mother nature piece. It really feels dark and stormy. I think the tornadoes in the background need more of a twisting motion to them, it seems like you painted it with very vertical strokes, and I think they need some more swirling horizontals to them. They feel a bit flat. Also she seems very framed by the two twisters in the background. Maybe also you could have a few loose petals flowing away from her, as if they are falling away from the twisting winds she is creating herself. I love the motion though. And she is painted beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI know you don't want to hear this, but I still think the polar bear looks a bit weird. http://www.globalwarmingisreal.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/mean-polar-bear-small.jpg . I found this image and I think it has some stuff you may want to look at. The eyes look a bit to beady still, and I definitely think you need to add that dark bottom lip that hangs down, bears are always doin that. And I think the nose may be a bit small, not sure. I think you solved the body issues though, and everything else looks great.
ReplyDeleteyou have a really great work .
